Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Download the app, enter your email and phone number, create a password, and verify your email. You'll also need to upload a government-issued ID for verification.

Why do I need to verify my ID?

ID verification ensures safety for all users and is required by law for bike rental services. It helps build trust in our community.

How long does ID verification take?

ID verification usually takes up to 5 business days. We'll send you a notification once your ID is approved.

Can I be both a renter and owner?

Yes! You can choose to be a renter only, owner only, or both. You can change this setting anytime in your profile.

Renting Bikes

How do I rent a bike?

Search for bikes near you, select your dates, request a booking, and pay with Apple Pay once the owner approves. You'll get the exact pickup location after approval.

When am I charged for a rental?

Your payment is held when you request a booking, but you're only charged when the bike owner approves your rental request.

What's the search radius for finding bikes?

The default search radius is about 5 miles from your location. We're working on making this adjustable in future updates.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, you can cancel bookings. Cancellation policies vary by timing - contact support@wheelifyapp.com for specific situations.

What if the bike breaks down during my rental?

Contact the bike owner immediately and email support@wheelifyapp.com. Please note that Wheelifyapp doesn't own responsibility for bike mechanical issues as outlined in our terms.

Listing Your Bike

How much can I earn by listing my bike?

Earnings vary by location and bike type. You keep 80% of each rental (Wheelifyapp takes 20%). Many owners earn $20-50 per day when their bike is rented.

How do I set my bike's availability?

Your bike is available by default. You can hide it anytime to make it unavailable, and unhide it when you're ready to rent again.

How many photos do I need for my listing?

You need at least one clear photo of your bike. We recommend multiple angles to help renters see your bike's condition.

Do I have to approve every booking?

Yes, all bookings require owner approval. This gives you control over who rents your bike and when.

How do I coordinate pickup with renters?

Once you approve a booking, the renter gets your exact pickup address. If there are any issues, renters can email you directly.

Payments & Payouts

How do payments work?

Renters pay through Apple Pay when their booking is approved. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

When do I receive payouts as an owner?

Payouts are processed automatically 7 days after each completed rental. You'll need to set up your banking information first.

Are there security deposits?

Currently, there are no separate security deposits. The rental payment covers the bike usage.

What fees does Wheelifyapp charge?

Wheelifyapp takes a 20% service fee from each rental. Owners keep 80% of the rental price.

How do I set up payouts?

Go to your profile, tap 'Setup Payouts', and securely add your banking information through our Stripe integration.

Safety & Support

Is it safe to rent my bike to others?

Yes! All renters are ID-verified users with valid payment methods. However, please review our liability waiver for full terms.

What if there's damage to my bike?

Report any damage immediately to support@wheelifyapp.com. Please note that bike owners are responsible for their bikes as outlined in our terms and waiver.

How do I contact customer support?

Email us at support@wheelifyapp.com for any questions, issues, or disputes. We aim to respond within 24 hours.

What happens if someone doesn't show up?

If a renter doesn't show up, they will still be charged. If an owner doesn't provide the bike, contact support immediately for resolution.

Can I message other users in the app?

Currently, communication happens via email. In-app messaging is planned for a future update.
